1. Sand Filter – Effective Removal of Suspended Particles

Raw water often contains sand, silt, rust and other suspended particles. If these impurities are not removed at the beginning, they can collect in pipelines, clog equipment and put extra load on the following treatment stages. In Shivsu Watec sand filters use a bed of graded filter media to trap suspended particles as water passes through the filter vessel. The raw water may contain suspended particles of different sizes and in varying amounts. In such cases, a single type of filter media may not always be enough to achieve the required filtration.

In Shivsu Watec multimedia filters use different layers of filter media to trap suspended solids of various sizes as water passes through them.Depending on the media used and the system design, these filters can hold more suspended particles than a conventional single-media filter before cleaning is needed.
